the other day my car fully ran out of petrol and died.

i don't think thats got to do anything with this Irregular idle but ever since then, the cars idle will idle fine for about 2 seconds then the tacho will drop to 0 and the engine will sound like its dieing, the it will go normal agian for a 2 seconds and bounce back to 0 ect..

the cars power doesn't seem like it is any different.

any one knoe why this is ?

 

My guess is a vacuum leak... might be a FUBAR studder valve... so a search, idle problems are ususally the most common ones... other than blows seals... *grin*
