Throttle body.

Hey guys,

I recently took apart my throttle body and cleaned it. It went back ok, cept for this one spring. I wrote down the order that all of the rod attachments went on, but can not find it

Can someone with a GSL-SE please post a pic of the top of their throttle body. Currently there is 1 spring and one clip I am not using, and it is concerning me.

I don't have the GSL-SE pic, but this site may help http://fc3s-pro.com/TECH/HOWTO/TBM/tbm.html

Granted, all the pics are of a series 5 TB, but you may be able to at least get some ideas.

That's the best I can do, sorry

Thumbs up

Thanks guys,

Bascially the 3rd pic shows the spring I need to reconnect I guess it connects from one spring latch to another. I also have a clip for one of the cables (not the throttle cable) that I also need to put in.

Ron,

Anyway for you to get a close-up pic of the little metal springs that connect to the throttle linkages on the side cloest to the cabin?

Also there is a cable (not the throttle cable) that connects to one of those linkages on the same rod.

I am curious to know what role that cable plays, and what the springs I mentioned above actually do.

I am still waiting for my FSM and wasn't able to find this info.

Thanks,

-M.

Here are some close up pics. I think the cable bracket you are talking about belongs to the cruise control. As you can see my car doesn't have one.

Thanks

Thanks a lot guys. That's great. I can see where I need to put those springs again.

What is the role of those springs?

Yeah I do have cruise control and I think you are right. There's also a clip that holds that cable and it is a serious bitch to try to get to fit properly. I took it out and am still trying to figure out how to get it back in properly.

Thanks for the pics and the feedback,
