Intrest in Carbon Fiber 1st gen control panel?

Guys I just finsihed a full CF 4x4 weave panel that replaces all those bullshit control switches for the second gen. I have a arm rest from a 1st gen at my house. I was wondering if anyone would be intrested in us making one for you first gen guys. Now the arm rest I have does not have the panel in it so and I don't own a first gen so I am not sure what goes in there. Can some one please post a pic of whats on that panel so I can get a look at it. Also I could do these in custom colors if someone wanted one.

check the pic of the second gen ones. I put 6 coats of clear on them and they came out great.

Fully loaded, that panel has 4 rocker type switches in it... L and R window control; cruse control on/off; and rear window wiper on/off

Katrina stole my camera (along with a lot of other stuff) but I'll see if I can borrow one and get a pix. Replacing the camera is kinda far down on my list of "to do's" right now. In the meantime, hopefully someone else with a GSL can post some pictures for you.

If you dont have them they are just blanks, funny thing is though they still have the up and down arrows. lol. I have a LE and it just has a cruise switch in the bottom right of the quad. Dont got no camera, broke college student or otherwise id snap one real quick.

Thanks I see what you mean now. I might just lay off this because I don't want to deal with who has power windows and who doesn't.

Buk, I'll see what I can let you use at the next Fudd's meet. I have some interior parts for an 84/85 laying about.

The earlier cars had different consoles. I'm not sure if there's one or two other versions out there.

On the 84/85, theres the switch surrounds to the left and right of the gauge cluster (Headlights up/down, hazards, rear wiper, and defroster). There's a switch surround to the left of the steering column. (Choke, cruise, dimmer, etc.) and lower there's fuel and trunk openers. And theres a switch surround infront of the arm rest (power windows and fader/balance control)... There are a couple concerns about that one...

Only GSL and GSL-SE mdoels came with that balance control, and aftermarket head units don't use it. Hence, I don't know if it should be there in your model or perhaps change holders or something...

Those are all fairly small bits. Less than 3x5 inches square.

I think you've already gotten a center vent/HVAC/Stereo surround and gearshift surround in good shape. If not, I have those. Most of ours are broken due to shitty stereo installs/removals... A good replacement would be nice, but it's fairly intricate.

Door handle cups would be nice. I'll see if I can dig some of those up.

Gauge cluster surround.

Hmmm... I'm not sure what else is removable that might be desirable in CF.

We'll talk at the next Fudd's meet. I'll see if I can steal DAK's FB and drive it up so that we can look at parts in realtime.
