Intermittent Tach Buzzing in the cold

When its cold and i start my car my tach doesnt stop buzzing and its really annoying. After awhile it will turn off. Why does it do this

Are you sure it's the over rev buzzer and not the low coolant or oil warning? If it is the rev buzzer, the only suggestion I can think of is to replace the tach unit. The over rev buzzer is built into the circuitry on the backside of it.

run a search for "oscillator" (unless you are absolutely positive that it is the over-rev buzzer)...
