intake questions
alright tonight i got the intake manafold off and found out im not the first one to take some of this **** off....alot of parts have been siliconed and tefloned taped...i know this cant be good but...
I plan on getting a race manafold and carb when i find a good deal but when i do this
Am i going to use a stock intake manafold gasket? or does it all depend on what manafold i get..
and will the linkage work for an aftermarket carb?
just a few late night questions...plus ive been cleaning the block for about 2 hours...with all the time ive putt in the bitch better start back up
ohh yeah 1985 base model 12a

There's really no need to use any kind of gasket sealer on the intake gasket. The other person's use of sealer may be a good thing for u, if the gasket didn't rip when taking the intake off, u may be able to reuse it. Try to clean the silicone off and see what kind of condition it's in. I've reused intake gaskets b4. But u will have to get some new "o" rings tho.
