on a stock port 12a, would a 40mm weber be sufficient?

Re: intake questions

On a stock 12A you can install a 45DCOE, as long is jetted for a stock engine. You will also need a new fuel pump and a fuel regulator set to 2.5 psi's..... I had one on my stock 12A and it ran great, until the engine died then I went street port and used the same carb, just jetted it for a street port...

40mm would be a waste of time. 45 is pretty much the smallest you'd want to go even on a stock port.

Ive heard all kinds of things. One place I read said NO MORE than 3 PSI, MazdaTrix said 4.5 PSI, Fast Freddies (who makes the MazdaTrix setups) said 3-4 PSI. I dont know. Im just buying the Holley 1-4 PSI regulator AND the rebuild kit so I can have the high and low pressure springs in case I need more than 4 PSI .

I've got a DHLA that I'm gonna have to rebuild and get running from scratch, too. If anyone wants to toss out a few pointers..... Oh yeah, never had a carb before, either.
