Installing the front pulley on a 12A

So I rebuilt my 12A and now the front pulley seems to go on 4 different ways. How do I ensure that it is on the right way where the timing marks align properly? Thanks

I normally set then woodruff at the 9 o'clock position and then the pulley at tdc. This has worked for me many times in the past but I have also heard their are inconsistencies with this method.

So just to make sure, if the flywheel's flat part is on the "window" side of the engine, where the intsake and exhaust are and the woodruff key of the e-shaft is at the 9 o'clock position, I am on TDC? Then just install pulley to where the first timing mark aligns with the timing pointer on the front cover?

Thanks
