Installed IDA Weber today

Yep, took me awhile to sort out the linkage and whatnot but I finally got it on. I haven't even dialled it in properly and the car already pulls quite a bit harder than it did with the mod four barrel. And the induction noise is amazing. At full throttle it's louder than the bloody ehaust!!

sweet. Does it really make the car less driveable thats what ive been hearing from everybody. Anyway ive decided to go to clevland exhaust but im going with a different setup. This setup was recomened to me by the guy who built my engine.

instead of 2" primaries im going to use 1 7/8" mandrel bent to the diff then 3" mandrel bent over the diff into a 3" muffler. the reason for the smaller primaries is to keep the air speed up.

Waqiting for you to post a picture.

I am taking your advice on the cold air box, K&N. and ignition. Still have not modified the Nikki as its difficult to have the car off the road. Any moded carbs for sale round Brizzie?

very few people realize how noisy the intake can be, what goes out has to come in !

I haven't had it tuned properly yet so it's running a bit rough on idle and light throttle cruising but other than it runs sweet. I put 38mm venturis in and it doesn't seem to bog down at low revs at all. So you're getting the system from Cleveland Exhaust. Should be good.

madaz07 - the 1 7/8" ID pipe is damn near 2" OD. 1 7/8" OD is probably a touch small.

The weber induction noise gets annoying, but a cold air box using about 3mm aluminium really helps, just make sure there is plenty of air available. Plus you can vent in your crank breather and charcoal canister to make it a bit less illegal.. .

Webers are annoying for cruising as there is no cruise circuit as such, they just looooove to accelerate. Get the exhaust and ignition sorted then get it tuned by someone who really knows them (preferably who tunes club cars.. they usually know their stuff) and use those settings as the baseline.

Thats what i was told to use by the guy who built my engine he said 2" was touch too big for a 12a bp it was better suited to 13b bp. In one off the mags of got the factory mazda race team used the same setup. And the guy who built my engine definitely knows what hes doing.

Revhed, thanks for the information. Tried to respond but you are ex-directory! Can you give me specs and price. My e-mail is fitzwarryne@hotmail.com. I am just about to do my twice a month work trip, a good RX7 run of 12 hours with two fuel stops, and trying to remember the speed limit in 4 States.
