Engine Weights - Finding out for myself!

OK, I just realized something...

I have a 12A in my basement.

I also have a 0-800lb fish scale.

I'm gonna go downstairs and measure just how much that ol' 12A weighs - first as a bare block, then with rotors and E-shaft in it, and then I'll pile the manifolds, front cover (with dizzy), and water pump housing on it.

Just for scientific curiosity...

Well, the scale is "Gone"... can't find it anywhere

I'm getting really fed up with my pack-rat roommate, too...

peejay a critical question what the hell fish do you catch to require a 800lb fish scale??? They must be monsters in Cleveland.

I have an offical source from 1981 which gave the weight of a 12a egine with ancillaries but no exhaust manifold as 342lbs.
