Injector size?

How could I find out what the injector size is for the 85 SE? Or for that matter any on the later rx7's? Is there a manual or spec book? thnx

Mazda FSM for 84/85 SE's lists these as 'orange top' (plastic insulator color), 680cc nominal flow at standard pressure out of a good pump. Low impedence injectors are used in the SE models.

The later model, Gen 2 cars use staged injectors of 550cc flow, primary, plus 2 720cc flow injectors for secondaries. I believe these to be high impedence, which was a change in the Gen 2 EFI system.

Someone please correct me if I've remembered this incorrectly. HTH,

Only the TII models came with the 550's, and they used 550's all around. 720's are a popular upgrade though.

I had my 85 gslse injectors cleaned and tested at RC engineering, they flowed 720. I believe 85 is 720, 84 680

12AT (2) 800cc injectors low impedence
84-85 GSL-SE (2) 680cc injectors low impedence
86-91 N/A (4) 460cc injectors,same impedence change as TII
87-87.5 TII (4) 550cc injectors low impedence
87.5-91 TII (4) 550cc injectors high impedence

I had 2 85's flo 720'ish and my 84 680'ish when R/C cleaned them, maybe they upped the fuel flow in the 85's.
