injector questions

ok so i got a 1985 gsl-se, i was wondering if i could put a 2 rc 750cc injectors on it, there ment for a 86-88 n/a rx7, they ar the low imepdeance, (ihave no clue what that means) and im gonna run a apexi neo to mess with the fuel and keep the stock ecu( i cant afford an aftermarket ecu right othwise i would) will this work, oh and another thing, i can get ahold of 800cc rc injectors also, if i can run the injectors lets say, which cc injectors should i run?

thanks, josh

Keep technical bumps to every 24 hours.

Why do you want to run larger injectors. The AFM, Intake system, and ECU cannot handle any larger injectors. The stock injectors are more than adequate enough for the system.

well, robert at roatryshack, told me that after i put my exhaust on im maxing out my 680cc injectors, so i thought that i could bump up to 750cc or 720cc injectors and do a piggy back system for more fuel flow

Test your AFRs with a wideband before upping the injectors. Unless you're boosting, the stock injectors will handle the exhaust upgrade.

You can run the RC 720 injectors, no problem. If your wanting more flexibility and lower cost, it might be to your advantage to think about going carb. But, tuning without a wideband is just asking for trouble.

is this the whole story? i've never met Robert, but i find it sort of hard to believe that he'd say that to you without some other reason/factor involved. an exhaust system is not going to max out your injectors.

Josh,

The fuel pump question has been asked a thousand times. Been a member since 2006, time to start learning how to search! :_)

As far as if you want to stay injected and gain HP the only way you are going to do that is to get rid of the stock SE intake system and either go with the S4 or the S5 systems.

Their are members that have done both and threads on how to do both. You can also run a Mega Squirt system if you want to run 4 injectors as the 2nd gen models do.
