I'm lookin for fender flare information

I'm looking for a guy or Girl with FENDER flares on his FB.

Can you measure the overall height of the flare at the top-center of the wheel archs front and rear? Please.

A friend has some wheels for me but I'm kinda perticular about the overall fit and finish of the wheel in relation to the flare but I havent been able to order them yet.

Thx

Look at the thread links at the bottom of this thread, you may find pics in one of them. If not do a search for fender flares. There is a set of VW flares and Datsun 240/260/280Z aftermarkets that fit with a little modding and Fibermaz makes a set.

Just to clarify my original post I'm NOT looking to buy fender flares. I already have all the info I need to buy them. and I will on day soon.

I just need the measurement at the top of the arch to see if it worth my while to get these rims from my friend.

if he is a "true friend," then he should lend the rims to you with a peace of mind. What you're looking for will require at least 9.5 to 10" wide rims.

In my 75 RX-3 with VW cabriolet flares: Keep in mind I have several sets of 3-piece epsilons which allows me to mix-match the lips to any size I desire.

15x8 epsilons

same 15x8 epsilons in my son's FB

15x9.5 epsilons in my 75 RX-3

16" SSR's in my 7Stock XI old school winner 73 RX-3

heres one in my bro's RX-3. 14x10 on home made flares

In addition, with real wide rims, you wont be able to drop the car without cutting the inner fender lips (min 1" above the stock flare). If you dont, the fender will eat your tires

thx man. I really appreciate the pics. I was wondering about the cabriolet flares. I read about them yesterday in the searches. I tell you the more I see the "3", i feel myself being drawn to it. There one by my job, I had never seen one before. I thought it was a strange Carolla. Maby, one day. These mazdas are more addictive than crack.

Is there any way I can git a pic of how they are mounted on the 3?
