Hello all and thank you for all the help. MustangHammer, I am also running a Street Beat Header and I do plan on cutting the 12A gasket as suggested or I could reuse the old one since is in really good shape.

Today, I continued the engine build by putting on the fly wheel and measuring the front main bearing clearance. Unfortunately, It measured ZERO (0) using the existing spacer that's labeled "V". My gauge didn't move at all. The front main bolt was torqued to 90 pounds. I to believe I should be within .002 - .004. of clearance.
Correct me if I am wrong.....

I also noticed, I don't have a plug as shown in the Mazdatrix video and I don't recall any sort of spring or plug coming from the main front bolt when I took the engine apart. Do I need one?

I know I'll need to order another \ few spaces; So, I need shorter or taller one? Any suggests on what height it should?

Why didn't the existing space work?

Thank you again and look forward to your input.

Sorry for so many questions; I am running a Racing Beats Intake and Holly carb. On intake, there is a 1/4 brass fitting it not connected to anything. It's capped with a Air hose fitting. Can someone tell me what this does or where it should be connected?
