I'm done :( full turbo kit for sale...

well, did another compression check today only to find out why my turbo setup isnt working right. yep, low on the front rotor. ah well. i'm selling the whole turbo setup. has no more than 10 miles on everything and i put well over 1300.00 in to all of this. it's beyond your normal DIY setup. here's what it entails...

- 50 sk side draft carb with one piece wrap around manifold. (yes works just fine on a stock port and will make amazing top end power)

- custom carb hat with 2.5" inlet on the side

- s4 exhaust manifold modified to fit the 12a; also the flapper has been removed.

- s4 turbo (rebuilt!) with wastegate perfectly ported! i did not ever go over 6psi without a boost controller. has absolutely NO SHAFT OR END PLAY!

- dash 6 AN braided oil feed line. fits directly in the oil pressure gauge spot and mates up to the turbo side.

- oil feed and return fittings on the turbo

- air filter

- turbo xs stage 2 manual boost controller

- 1:1 rate fpr

- short custom 2.5" downpipe

- 2 racing beat exhaust flanges to push the turbo out for plenty of room

- dsm blow-off-valve from a skyline motor. already crushed to handle 30psi if neccessary

- other odds and ends i may not be thinking of at the moment.

Get this setup and slap it on your 12a for a definite awesome power increase! i am not throwing in the intercooler as my friend locally is getting it. but those are cheap and easy to find. even with low compression the turbo spooled soo damn fast and was breaking tires loose on only 6psi. i would love to get another 12a and really get to use this setup but i just dont have the time or space to work on this car anymore. it was fun while it lasted. thanks,

email for pics as they are too large to post! serious inquiries only!!!

- asking price: $1,025.00 shipped -

sorry to hear about your unsuccess....to bad you are discouraged, I felt the same way with a simple 12a rebuild swap out....lowest point was when I heard the >>>ting<<< . The water pump housing snapped right were the bolts go in around the thermostat. I found one on e-bay for $7 plus $16 shipping. There were other low points, but now the 22 year old car runs like it is brand new! I'm a legend in my apartment complex as "The guy replaced a whole engine" Hope you feel better.

most of you guys dont understand. i have been building on this car for atleast 3 years. i have been trying to turbo charge it for well over a year of that. i've gone thru 3 different carbs trying to make boost. after an 8 month wait i get the parts here, that i am now trying to sell, only to have something go wrong with the motor before i can even enjoy what i strived so ****** long for. this car has caused me nothing but aggrivation and expense. i love the damn thing and have had many opportunities to sell it but i just couldnt. now i wont get jack **** for the thing and have nothing to show for the years of dedication to a piece of metal. i dont have garage space anymore, my time limit to really work on this thing is up. my goal before summer of last year was to be turbocharged by this summer. i failed. not really due to my own in ability, but doesnt matter. whether it be not getting parts or just not really having any local support. it isnt done. it makes me so damn angry and sad. i see everyone getting their **** going when i started atleast a year before them. i put so much trust and patience in to people and for that i feel i get walked on. now i have nothing but a blown 12a with a bad *** turbo setup. right now i really dont know what to do. it makes me depressed even thinking about selling this stuff. ahhhhhhhhgggg it seems it's time for a different type of motor.

question, why not just try and find a local 12a? They are usually pretty cheap, I almost think you are giving up to easily, you have put so much time and effort into your car you shouldn't just turn around and sell away your dreams.

well dan; i have already looked. been looking for a good backup for quite a few months. they are all blown. i dont have the time or the finances to get a rebuild. there are very very veeerrryyyy few 1st gens here. let alone good motors. i could get a tII swap maybe but then again, i gotta wait and get new intake manifold, conversion parts.. it's just all fucked up right now. time is my major flaw right now. i had a great alotted amount of time, which anyone else probably would have finished in, but not me for crazy reasons. i'm not selling the car. just the pieces that can maybe actually get used and whoever gets them wont go thru all the hell i did. i'm just trying to help you guys out. this would be so easy for someone to turbo their 12a.

after reading that post i truely believe u are giving up too soon... i've been working on my FB for over a year now, just trying to get it friggin driveable... it sat for 6 years, had a few issues, but money has been an issue, and recently time... now it runs, but as i've said in my other threads, if its not 1 thing its another, this time its a massive oil cooler leak... replacing that as soon as i can afford as well... already bought the replacement from atkins dan, a 86 oil cooler... but yeah, even if i had been working on my FB for 3 years as you have, i wouldn't be giving up right now because something thats out of my control got messed up... why not try and find another 12A and using both cores build 1 good core... the apex seals would be the most expensive part... replace all the springs etc... gasket kit is like 80 bux, it really doesn't cost much when u do it urself...

and, i'm gonna be turbo charging mine as well... so i expect more headaches there, but i'm not worried about that at this moment, i'm just worrying about 1 thing at a time.

i dont want to just "give up". i just don't have the sources or the time. i dont have anywhere to rebuild this motor anymore and i'm tired of going multiple summers without my car. all it's doing is collecting dust and taking up space. it's at my parents garage (has been for years now) and they are tired of seeing it. just an eye soar to them. they DONT understand the passion i have towards it and why i want to keep this pile of metal. it's not that i want to give up, it's just that i pretty much have to right now.

I ran 27psi with a garrett t04 b turbo on my high compression 12a rotors once, and 20psi for a few thousand miles. Never phased em.... tore the engine down after overheating the hell out of it (plugged radiator) and the wear was normal.

I understand how you feel, fbII. I spent lots of time on my turbo setup as well, but then my project car became my daily driver after the other one rusted out, and I went with a NA 13b setup. Couldn't have made a better decision.... super reliable with 177whp (g-tech) and hope to make it to the drag strip next weekend.
