good to hear you came to your senses, maybe get an atkins rebuild video and watch it while you are rebuilding your engine im sure that would help a ton, I have not been able to rebuild a rotary yet but it looks far more simplictic than a boinger engine. Good luck with your setup!

I've torn down a 13B turbo before and that was seriously easier than taking the engine out of the car. If you have any kind of mechanical ability, you can at the very least tear a rotary engine down a put it back together. Doing the measurments on the other hand is another story. I've never actually rebuilt one, but after taking a whole engine apart in only 3 hours, its not likely had.

Have you ever done a rebuild yourself?? If not....then this is the best time to start. Trust me you'll feel ten times better when you turn the key and it springs to life. I never saw a Rotory b4 I bought mine. Mine had a blown coolant seal=white smoke at start up. I pulled the motor, watched the RA video, went to Mazda trix and bought all the parts ($877 bux cause I have an '89) and rebuilt that damn thing. It started on the third crank. I have 650 miles on the rebuild and it is running really strong...........And yes I had set backs. I just kept plugging away until its running

The reason I tell you all this is purley for inspiration. I am the most un-likeley person to be rebuilding motors. I am like the guy in Alabamer........everybody in my Townhouse association thinks I'm the Motor Guy for what I did.

You can do all this as well. And it is easier than you think. My biggest fear was taking those 18 bolts out of the back and cracking open the motor. I was afraid that springs and **** would go bouncing all over the place. I actuall spent 2 weeks looking at the bare block due to the fear. Finally I just opened it up and found.....truth.

sweeeeet. yea i'm not too scurrred of it good news tho, i didnt save on car insurance.. but i also didn't blow the motor. MUHUHAHAHAHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! aaand i got rid of the sputter all together. pulls all the way to 8,000 rpms in every gear but doesnt want to idle well. still tuning.. bout to put some different emuslion tubes, jets, and air bleeds in. this should probably straighten it out. i greatly GREEAATLY appreciate all the support from you guys. it has helped me beyond what you know.

redid the ignition setup and cranked the **** outta the fuel pressure. i should be able to bring the pressure down tho with some different jets and e-tubes. i guess the main problem was the fact that it was starving up top and with the timing all forked up it was just getting worse and happening sooner. now my dizzy is set to stock location. no more having it at full advance! WOOHOOOO!! cranks alot faster too. YES!
