I'm curious...
I used to own a 1985 GS with the 12A motor in it. I loved the car, but it was kind of gutless. Well, very gutless, in all honesty.
I bought the car used in 1993, so it was already getting a little long in the tooth. Since this was pre-Internet (at least for me) I really had no clue about things that can go wrong with a rotary such as leaking seals and such - I just figured that it runs so it must be running up to spec.
Anyway, a few people who I've told this to said that it should have benn a lot quicker than what I describe. I traded it in for a 1993 Honda Prelude VTEC nad the Honda felt like a rocket in comparison to the 7.
So my question is this: Assuming my car was in good working order, what should I have expected from it? Any idea of what it should have done in the 1/4 mile? I realize that the car wasn't made for drag racing (or was it?), but an estimated quarter-mile time will give me an idea of what it should have felt like.
I've been cruising this board for some time becasue I'm interested in getting another 7. I am planning on getting an FD in about 18 months, but I'm also playing with the idea of a FB just to play with in the meantime.
Thanks in advance - this question has been bugging me ever since I let the 7 go.
