Damn, that's a pretty good price for a freshly rebuilt long block with all those goodies.

Somebody ****** it up for $2950!

I like it too... however, for street use... I dont like the idea that is a direct set up.... no intercooler.... too much hot air into your engine. Direct set up is best in drag racing...

I prefer this set up.

Nice.. But that setup comes from factory without an Intercooler.
It can easily be modified to adapt one in.

Also, I am curious as to how much power your 12A Turbo has put
down on a dyno. Any Track times too?

Real nice, clean setup.

I'm not caught up in the "turbo thing", but I am rather caught up in "supercharger thing." I think it is such a great thing, and I wish I had the funds for it.

I'll just stick with my streetport for now.....

I like supers in basica concept, but I've been drooling over the "stock" 12aT idea for a while now. I would love to have that engine, it's an absolute beauty.

I've had a ride in a modded 10th AE FC before and let me tell ya, that thing pulled like a mother. I can only imagine what that engine would be like in a 1st gen.

I get enough turbo time in the duramax and the powerstroke.

Nothing quite like feeling those trucks spool while towing trailers.

Especially the duramax.

Mostly fabricated.....
Check out my Website or read this.

The first thing you need to do is to rebuilt and mildly port the engine.
There is NO Turbo kit for 12A's.... You need to fabricate. Is really simple....
To fabricate a Turbo manifold......first, get a 12A exhaust Flange from Racing Beat also get the gasket.
Second.... go to EBAY.COM and get this 13B Turbo Manifold(93-95 RX7): http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33742
Next.... Cut the tip/corners of the 13b flange bolt holes..... place the new 12A flange ON TOP and TIG WELD it..... See this picture: (

Finally... get the Turbo and Wastegate.
For the Turbo.... I got a medium size one ( Garrett T4E, .60 compressor, .69 Turbine, P Trim ) I paid about 500 for it.
NOTE: YOU MUST port ( at least ...mild street porting ) your engine.
Entire budget is about $1,700 by doing it yourself.... and over $3,500 if done at a shop.
You will get around 250 horse power at the wheels @ 10 PSI Boost ( with selected Turbo and mild street porting)

LIST:
Exhaust Flange
Exhaust Gasket
13B Turbo Manifold (to fabricate to a 12A Turbo Manifold)
T4 Turbo w bolts, oil line, return line & gaskets
HKS WASTEGATE with gasket
Blow off valve
Intercooler with 2 1/2 inch alluminum pipping & silicone hoses
Boost controler ( Turbonetics 10 PSI MAX )
Boost gauge
Heat/exhaust wrap and Cover
Holley Carburetor options (390CFM, 450CFM, 600CFM or 650CFM)
If carburetor/holley... Turbonetics carburetor cover/hat (blow thru)
If carburetor/holley... use Racing Beat Intake Manifold ( PORTED )
Air Filter ( K&N or Aftermarket )
3 " Downpipe with presilencer & good muffler
a new fuel pump and Regulator (Holley has good pumps/ should push at least 16 to 25 psi )
Fuel / Air Gauge(llean/rich) and sensor ( make sure that the SENSOR is at least 4 " from turbo on downpipe )
optional: Turbo timer
optional: Electric dual fans
