ignition set up options?

im looking for something to do with my set up right now, that will also be appropriate for a big ported engine in the future. what would add a good combonation of power, efficency, and a fair price.

looks like all you need is the ported engine at this point.

How do you know you need a hotter spark? I'm not trying to be a wise-guy, just trying to understand.

if you want a really good spark get 2 msd 6al boxes and put one on leading and the other on trailing

that's a bit overkill though, just one msd box on the leading ignition is good enough.

6A is good enough. i do not think u will need the rev limiter that the 6AL has. and yes, MSD on leading is sufficient.

thats what my mechanic recomended, but i wasnt sure exactly what he was talking about. so one box only applies to two plugs?

what kind of power would i be looking at with one, and two boxes?

with the msd box, can i keep my accel ignition coils?
