Question If I build it, will you buy it?

In taking out the rats nest I couldn't help but notice the disaray of ht eremaining line. A mess of old and new, alum, plastick, rubber, and still honestly not as neat as I'd like. so I'm considering replacing all the lines vacuum, oil, and fuel with andadized alum ones.Plus the matching block plate that I need to elimnate the nest. This would be a thing I would have to do myself. All anadizing would be done by me also allowing custom colors.

You left out an option on the poll for those that don't feel the need to pull the rat's nest at all....especially true if you live in a police state like TX...

I think this was covered under the last option of the poll.

It sounds like a good idea to me. Maybe you could add a bracket to hold the a/c solenoid so its not just dangling.

Not true, effendi. I care INTENSELY what my engine bays look like, but I still need that nest to pass emissions. Consequently, I clean up wiring, add color complimentary zip ties and colored silicon tubing to each of the cars I get as budget and time permits...

Really just trying to deceid where to put this in the budget for my car. If I could get rid a few I could cover the cost now, if not it will have to wait.I'll have to buy some equip.+matrl. and @$50- i'd have to sell a few just to make it worth while. After all I would not only be doing all the fabrication but anadizing to order which would mean different collors/dye batches.

Not to me, nor, judging by the poll results, to any of the other 90+ people who viewed this thread and may have been inclined to keep the rat's nest for practical, legal or aesthetic reasons...

I'd have to say they understood the poll the same way I did....correctly...

Because only 6 people are interested in buying. The rest can't find a category "I'll keep my rat's nest for practical, legal or aesthetic reasons, thank you..."...yeppers....

The other guy just bought his and doesn't know what rat's nest is...

ok ok ok this is getting old. fun, but old. I think people are visiting to see the conversation now.

Well from what I can tell, and since I have already removed the rats nest in my car. I'm from one of those counties that could care less.

I would like to say this as a final subject to this argument. This is not a keep the nest/kill the nest poll. Brianw is planning on making a little aluminum vacuum hose nest that would look better than just running vacuum and emmision hoses over the top of the engine. Judging by the catagories at the time he did this poll. The only people that he was interested in getting the info from are the people that would like to/have taken out the rats nest. If your not planning on doing it why would you need the item to begin with.

The info needed being:
#1 how much you would be willing to pay for it
#2 would you steal my idea
#3 dont care leave it the way it is/ with my hoses all over. We could also use number 3 as a not interested cause I dont plan on taking it out, cause mama TX police state says so.

If you want to keep your rats nest for legallity/emmisions (you really like the trees/ozone) doesn't really apply. Because, we already know people like tree and wont want the item to begin with.

So, if you have taken out your nest and would like an item that will clean up the remaining hoses please by all means vote on the poll. Tell brianw how much you would be willing to pay. If not you can do a search for the why to/not to keep/remove the nest thread

Brianw- I like your idea, I went with the under 50 vote. If I was going to stay with the nikki carb I would purchase.

I appologize for going long winded on you thread.

It was really quit intertaining!Wish I.d gotten a better poll response as it looks as thought this will come to pass but I think I'll wait till I have the cash laying around for initial investment. I also think I'll have to reduce the size of the kit to make it worth while on my end(they would be anadized to order color.) I think I'll probably offer 1.carb kit(lines thatt are currently Clear palstic) 2.Rat nest(obviuos) and 3.OMP lines. All will be avalible in brushed Alum. as well as Anadized. I'll Post when They're ready. Probably start around $5 or $10 for the OMP kit up to around $80 for all three.
Thank you seanrot for you're last post. I was starting to wonder about you guys!

The poll has only been up for a little time. Im sure that people will chime in, and give you a heads up. Besides, all the bickering is keeping your poll on the top of the forum, slight bonus. Just a heads up might be interested in some custom size OMP lines for a Weber set up in the future. Once, I can actually afford the Carb itself. You think you might be able to make them if I gave you a drawing with measurements. I should be looking in the spring.

Yea that would be know problem. It's the routing that takes the time.I intend to rerout some to add to the effect of the carb. Maybe take the little plastic one(clear) you know and run them off the carb alittle in a bit of a cluster that would branch off. I htink that could show of a nicely etailed carb as well as add by creating the illusion of being a little bigger. I don't know yet I whille have to get tha mtrl. and start playing. I'm trying to find some good pics to paly with.
