idling problem in montana

hey guys i drove my 84 se from tucson, az to great falls, mt in june and about 2 months ago the fb was having trouble idling, it wouldnt hold idle for anything when the engine was cold. but when the engine was completely warmed up it was fine. i was thinking it is the cold start sensor. or the fast idle cam sensor. any insight would be awesome.

There is an altitude idle compensation valve on the car, but it's really only effective for slight changes in barometric pressure. You need to tune the carburetor if you move to much of a different elevation.
