idle issue

I have an 83 rx7. Ive come into a problem and can not get any advise. My car continues to stall out when Icome to a stop and push the clutch in, I was told by a mechanic that the carburator needed to be rebuilt. So Idid that but the problem still exist, does anyone have any advise.

does the car stutter at constant throttle or stall on deceleration if so try the shutter valve fix.

Yes, don't push the clutch in.
J/K.

Need more info.
What rpm does the motor idle at?
When did this problem start?
Was it just after doing work on the car? And if so, what kind of work?
Do you hear a very odd sound coming from the air cleaner/carb area?

oops

oopsI pushed the clutch in again
Ihave it idling at 800 rpms
this has been going on for about 2 to 3 months now
no Ihavent done any work to the motor except regular tune ups and of course the carb rebuild
I have found a vacume line that has been disconected, which I believe goes to the shutter valve but I do not know what that is Ive asked around and looked through the chiltons manuel but getting no explantion

The shutter valves job is to shut off fuel to the rear housing during de-accelearation. It is located below the carb facing the driverside fender. You will have one large hose that is at the bottom of the air cleaner that attaches to the valve.

Best thing I can recommend at this time is to go back thru the vaccum diagram and make sure that everything is hooked up correctly. Did you unplug any of the blocked off hoses when you rebuilt the carb? Also have you hooked up the loose vacuum hose?
