Idle help!!
Hey everyone, first off I wanted to say that I haven't been able to find a similar thread relating to my current issue.
That aside, the current problem I'm having is with my car returning to idle properly after deceleration when driving. I recently removed the emissions equipment on my stock nikki carbed 12A as I dont have cats. The components I tampered/removed are:
-Air pump
-ACV
-AAV#2
-disabled shutter valve by plugging big hole hose and leaving small one open to air as directed in previous threads
-removed A/C solenoid (dont have A/C)
-removed switching solenoid (blue connector)
-removed shutter solenoid (yellow connector)
-plugged all corresponding vacuum ports on the nest
I left the leading and trailing vacuum advance solenoids in place because I want to keep them for drivability/fuel economy purposes. The car currently runs fantastic, ZERO issues in acceleration, deceleration, etc. The problem occurs only when im driving and I throw it in neutral to come to a stop, then the rpms fall below the set idle and do one of 2 things, either fall to about 300 and stumble back up to idle and then be fine (when it does this it idles perfectly and extremely smoothly with no hiccups) or it will fall on its face and stall out. One other attribute I didn't mention is the current ambient temps outside are between -2°C and +2°C. Not sure if that has a major effect on it though.
Any ideas as to why this may be? The car had just recently been pulled out of storage, sitting for about 3 months with periodic startups. I cant for the life of me figure out what the issue is. Ive gone over the vacuum system countless times and cant seem to find any leaks, and its driving me crazy
Any help is appreciated, of you need more information, I will gladly provide you with it. Thanks fellas
-Josh

yes, the problem occurs even at operating temp. However I did come to notice the other day that If I blip the throttle before going in neutral, the car returns to idle properly

You either got a vaccum leak or a problem with the throttle linkage
