identify this miss (sound clip within)
this is a sound clip of my car in neutral reving to 5000rpm. what is causing this miss? it's been doing this since i got the carb last fall.
the spark has been checked and rechecked. everything is functioning properly. the fuel press, floats, etc are all spot on yaw's specs. i have dicked with everything except the fuel pressure and nothing i've tried seems to affect this miss. hell, after leaning it out a little this weekend it's actually running pretty stong. i think that's the first time i've touched a carb and made it run better.
i'm thinking primary air bleeds. any words of wisdom?
i really had to compress the sound clip to make the 100k cut off. if would like the origional 600k file, PM me and i will e-mail it to ya.

What do you have for an ignition system?
Also, what did you do with the float bowl vent on the side of the carb?
BTW yes your car revs very quickly and freely on the 0-60 run, I'm jealous Can't wait to get a Yawpower carb of my own...

stock ignition system. ya, i know i know. the pockets don't allow for a MSD at the moment. i'm prob going to try jeff20b's set-up within the next month. the stock system is good working order though. after going through it about 10 times, i've pretty much eliminated that as the culprit.
float bowl vent. isn't that by the fuel lines on the carb? forgive me, my car and manual is 150 miles away again. if i'm thinking of the right thing, then that was plugged when i got it back from Yaw.
i timed that run i posted in the high 7 sec range. with my mods i'm happy with that. i think with a little more tuning and a more agressive launch i can knock that down another 1/2 second. a clutch that actually bites would help too.
