Idea for new motor

Does anyone sell a 12A turbo? like REBUILT ONE? if so, how much? and is it fuel injected, Cause i dont wanna have to screw around with a computer and crap I wanna keep mine carb. And did the original 12A from the factory was it EFI? or was it carb.

You see i wanna stick with a smaller engine but have a little more power than a N/A 12A, also because of money issues I can't really afford a RE-EFI turbo second Gen motor. :'( and as i said before I dont wanna mess around with a computer and new wiring harness I guess you can say I'm kinda looking for a plug-n-play.

talk to robert at http://www.rotaryshack.com/ if you want carb and turbo he's the man to talk to here, he has this in stock for 1200$

http://www.rotaryshack.com/Engines/p...p?intNotice=57

this is the jspec version of the 12a turbo but it is fuel injected, it should already be all tuned up and ready to go, shoudn't be too much electrical work too he can probably add it on for a little bit more cheese (he loves his cheese)

you could go with a engine from rotaryshack, or for some more performance with the engine you have in your car right now, you could just get a full exhaust including headers, straight pipe with presilencers, and power pulse muffler from racing beat.

and then maby one of there holly, weber, or dellorto carbs.

because just all that right there would give you an extra 35rwhp or so.

thats what im thinking that im gonna do with my car

you also can build your own turbo kit for that much you just need to know where to look I just put a S4 turbo on to a 78 RX7 with front mount and all the other stuff and the total for parts was about 1200 give or take it will take some time to get it all it can be done cheaper if you findf a good deal on some of the stuff that you need.

No turbo engine that you put into your American RX-7 is going to be plug and play.

You're going to need fuel system upgrades along with suspension work. Also, the "computer" that came with the JDM 12AT isn't exactly going to be of much use if you want more power.

Your best bet would probably be to rebuild the engine that you have in yours and do some porting along with supporting mods/maintenance (exhaust, carb and suspension). You'll spend just as much dropping a turbo engine in, but it'd be far more work to go that route.
