Thanks! the gaskets were cheap and I needed a few things from mazdatrix anyway. I went ahead and ordered them.

Thanks alot!

Are all of you guys sure that it is a RE header?

I have an almost new RE header sitting on my couch and the flange for the engine is split into two, also every RE flange I have seen is two separate flanges as well. One for each exhaust port

I think it looks more like an old Racing Beat header. It has the solid flange without the RB imprint.

It looks just like the one I bought new and is on my car now. I have the old catalogs at home, I can look it up and see if there were two different types. I know they had a few different setups.

Is yours for a 12a or 13b? Maybe thats the difference. Just a guess.

For me the two presilencers give it away as well because RB never used any like that on its exhaust. When RB runs two its for the dual exhaust all the way back to the muffler and they didn't look like those do.

Fwiw, the core of the 1st silencer is fiberglass packed. I cut mine up to use part ot it for the 3" exhaust system. Fiberglass in the top 1/2 was gone, still there in the bottom 1/2.
