ID Airdam
Hey guys, now that I have an SA I've been looking for some parts for her. There's an Airdam that I want to get for her but I don't know what it's called or where to get it. I thought Black Dragon sold it when they were still Victoria British. I've attached a picture of it. I might have to mount my Kamei that I have for it in the meantime to hold me over
Thanks

There's a break, you just have to zoom to see it. I looked thru my old Victoria British catalog and found it but they don't sell it anymore. So maybe used is my only bet?

my ex had that one on her 79,it's made of eurathane, very flexible,we bought it at a place called Z products in Wilsonville OR,that was many years ago,i don't know if they are still around, but i can do some checking.
it's made by Xenon. made of polyurethane. very flexible to take curbs, good idea. paint with a flexing agent mixed in
carparts.com and victoria british sold them
do not know if anyone still has anymore. it will be a search.

I have the same airdam on my GSL, it's been trimmed to fit an 81-85 front. It is indeed made my Xenon as DriveFast7 said, I actually still have the instructions for it. Mazdatrix used to have it available on their page up until a few months ago it seems, although I heard they ran out of urethane ones awhile ago and only offered them in fiberglass up until they sold out. As far as I know they are NLA.
The urethane is really helpful as it is easy to scrape stuff with it. I'm sure if mine were made out of fiberglass it would be pretty cracked/bashed up by now. My only complaint is that it's heavy, and it seems to have warped and started to sag from the weight and exposure to sun. I plan on taking everything off and remounting it to see if I can get it to fit better.
This is another air dam for the SA ( not my photo) to consider,
I have one of these that was in the old stock room at a mazda dealership and I recently got it. Its was apparantly made for the 79 specifically. Its fiberglass and is contoured perfectly to the lower curve of the valence. It will be on my '79 in the spring with fresh paint

I hate to say that I got the last Xenon airdam from Black Dragon (so they said) in 2005 or 2006. I use it on my IT car, and cut holes in it for brake ducts.
It's heavy, though, so I may think about replacing it with fiberglass / kevlar, time permitting.
