Exclamation ICEY!! Wish me luck-

Well, no questions here, just thought I'd ask for a little luck from other RX7 owners! We had an Ice storm yesterday that continued through the night, and is still in progress. It is supposed to turn into 3-6" ofsnow by this afternoon. All schools, etc. are closed within a 90 mile radius, and I have an imperative 65 mile trip I have to take in approx. 10 minutes. All I have is my beautiful '82 GSL, which growls at me every time I scrape the ice off... Here we go!

I guess this is a perfect thread for others to post your worst driving conditions in your RX's. This will be mine!!!

If its just regular snowy conditions, you should be fine, provided you stay away from other cars, that don't handle as well as a 1st gen. Take your turns slow, and if you've never driven a RWD in the snow, "practice" a bit on turns where nobody is around. See how the back end handles the turns, so you know what to expect down the road, and how to correct it, when it starts slipping out.

Just hope nothing is black ice.......because you can't correct on that shi*.

I wrecked mine because of the snow, black ice all over a parking lot, went to turn into a parking spot and the rear end just slid out and i kept going straight, smashed a parked car... so be very careful in the snow.

I'm currently playing musical Limited Edition. As in moving it around the driveway away from leaning trees. I'd put her in the garage but the racecar is in there on stands... So hopfuly she survives under the car cover.
