I went to the track today in the 12a turbo
It was my first time and it was an 1/8mile track. So i really dont know what the number say about the 1/4 mile. But i think I would be in the low to mid 14's..
The car is only butt dyno'ed and just tuned to run without blowing up, running rich. Hell, I was having soo much fun didnt even think to try changing jets or timing to run faster lol.
BTW, it was great beating all the that i raced hondas but one, that had a turbo and slicks. and the one that knocked me outa the bracket cause I really didnt know what the hell I was doing. Bracket racing...long story but, I sand bagged when I should have kept my foot down.
I have 14 time slips.
I was running about 9.31~9.55 secs
and about 75 mph
I'm sorry no videos, got to the track and the batteries where dead sooo mad about that.

Man, you guys make me feel bad..... http://autostream.com/library/calculator2.html I said I was guessing but this 1/8th to 1/4 quarter converter says 14.35 sec quater. I found another calculator that said 14.5. My 60 ft times where 2.1~2.2 average. Whats traction on a pair of $52 dollar radials.
I found another converter for Horse power and plugged the weight of the car and driver, with the time slips numbers. Came out to 180 @ the wheels and 220 flywheel
This is one of the better slips
R/T .775
60" 2.206
330 6.085
1/8 9.334
MPH 76.04
This is a comparison between me and the Drag honda
this was the first run of the day
me on the left
R/T 1.198 1.094
60 2.108 2.028
330 6.019 5.444
1.8 9.319 8.166
mph 73.94 91.50
So your saying your car ran between a 14.6 and 16.1 second pass. Sound like you need a little help on consistancy.
Calvinpaul, Hell your track was propably going down hill with a backwind, one way and up hill the other. The hondas where running 10.5..
What does it sound like to you?? please dont multiply my times x 2 and tell me you think im running an 19 sec 1/4 at 150 mph.
Man i hate this, you guys make me into such an ***

it sounds more like a 15 or 16 to me... probly a 15, i am fully aware how the 1/8th mile works, and i know you don't multiply by 2... guy i knew ran about 8.5-9 1/8ths and only 15.3ish 1/4... he was in a mustang gt tho.. the 80s 5.0 one....ur trap speed seems like u might run a 14 tho, i ran a 14.5 in my first TII at 99.49 mph...

well, here a 99mph trap speed usually gets you in the high 13's unless you just plain out cant drive. and anyone running 8.5 in the 1/8th and only netting a mid 15 in the 1/4 needs to get out of 3rd gear! your math is wack. i go to the track almost every single weekend. i've run multiple tII's from stock to full bridgeport w/ t70's. traction is the enemy in our lite turbo fb's. seanrot, you are definately in the low 14's. tune a little more, and get the 60/ft's down and mid 13's will be there all day long. some slicks and you might see somewhere around a 13.0? cause if we can get heavy tII's ungutted with only 240rwhp running 13.2's then i KNOW you will hit mid 13's ATLEAST! trust me. don't pay attention to the haters

I know a big problem is you are sleeping at the light...... Go on the 2nd yellow and see how you do next time. By the time you react to the 2nd yellow, the light will be turning green. My best reaction time on a .500 light was .002.

yep, he's right. that's how we do it. also, i like to hold the e-brake up and release the clutch a tad putting a bit of load on the suspension making the car squat. if you have a limited slip, then this will really help you out of the hole.

On reacting to the yellow its interesting on atheletics you can be disqualified if your start too quickly after the gun on the grounds you must be cheating. They have a minimum reaction time.
