I have a 91 mustang, that i still owe about 2k on, which I will pay off in probably 6 months. Its a dead reliable daily driver, so I have that covered. Could I buy a running 7 for less than say...$700 with no rust and just decent overall? Paint doesnt need to be great, but mechanicals good. I want one with a 12a, and carbed. It wouldnt be a DD so I wouldnt have to worry about that.

J/K, if you keep your eyes open and have the cash in hand you would be surprised what you can find. But do your homework when you go about checking it out.
And no, don't ask what to look for, there are tons of threads already that have been done on the subject.

I got my '85 GS for $150. Doesn't run, but the body is clean except for a lil' rocker rust. Nothing I can't take care of in a day or so. Ask around, put out a WTB. I was in the same position, I bought mine when I was 17, i just turned 18 about a month ago.

Keep your eyes on the free section of your local Craigslist. I got my 85 GS 5-speed for nothing. Had to tow it 6 miles to my shop and then hollow out the cat. Now it runs smooth as top after a basic tune up. I have about $500 in parts in it and it's just awesome. No rust, great interior, but it sat for ten years.

Ok thats what I was lookin for, thanks. Hopefully I can join the dark brotherhood soon.
And the mustang was 3k, and I took out a loan to buy it, because i didnt have the cash and i wanted to start a [good] credit record, so its like 120 a month. If I would have waited a few months i could have payed cash. So I need a rebuild on the trans for my mustang (ok so its not THAT reliable ) and its 7 time.
