I told you so i got the 1979 red rx7!
I got the red 1979 rx7 today and it will be at my home tomorrow so i will take lots of pics and upload them. It is really clean only problems are trunk button doesn't work, there is a small tear in the passenger seat and the paint has some light scratches. It is so clean under the hood it almost looks like it just rolled out the the lot. It runs great he drove it to 90 mph no knocks or rattles at all smooth as it comes. But the parts car there is a problem with the title with the guy that has the title but it is really not as good as shape as it looked in the pics but the guy said i can take all the parts i want from it. So all in all i got the car i am super happy and you all can suck it lol just kidding thank you for your help.

saw your original thread and decided not to respond to it due to some childish behavior but i'm glad you found yourself another rx7. looks like a great car. did u end up getting a better deal since u didn't get the parts car?
i would think you would not need to premix if your OMP is working properly (but check your oil level periodically). i guess it would not hurt to mix a little 2 stroke in with the gas for some safety though. hopefully others will chime in as well.

Easy stuff first, guys - fuse block, then actuator, then wiring. It's not complicated to troubleshoot the rear hatch latch release, but will take some time.
Glad you got a good one - makes me miss my black 80LS,

Okay here they and some more to come the car has all the original parts so it is not perfect what i found is it needs new trunk holders, new trunk button, the left turn signal works but the light in the dash is broken, the paint is very clean just minor scratches on the car no need for a paint job, and the driver side seat has a tear down the bottom part of the seat and i chunk out of the side but the passenger side is very clean. Other then that it is great car very clean a little dirty in the engine compartment and the underside but i think in a couple weeks i will take it to a car cleaner and it will come on nice i am very happy with this car probably the cleanest 1979 in the state of Minnesota no rust at all very nice thank you all so much for your help i am sorry i was such a *** before and i hope all is forgiven.

That looks really good! Engine bay's not dirty at all (at least in comparison to mine; I need to pull the engine and scrub everything). I've always liked the early cars' arrangement of having the charcoal canister inside the air cleaner lid. Seems to reduce the clutter in the engine bay.
Nice seat cover too! If you feel like the car is a keeper, start a build thread here and chronicle your progress with it:

Have you learned to drive it yet?

No that starts next week when i get the title changed and get new plates he had collector plates on it i will learn to drive stick from my mom that will be fun lol. I wouldn't think people would be interested in a build thread since the car is near mint and not that much to do.

Well good luck. My mom taught me to drive stick too...19 years ago... Personally, I don't think there's any way to really retain the skill and enjoy it unless you do it every day. My first car was a stickshift and I'll be forever grateful.
"Build thread" is a loose term. Many of those threads do chronicle actual builds or restorations, but others are just catch-all threads for pictures of our '7 and any tinkering we decide to do. Helps keep the main forum freed up.
