Well that was a close call lol i went to try to start it to check to see how much gas it had and it almost plowed into my house he must of not had it in park that would suck to get into a accident the first day.

There's no "park" with a stickshift. The car was in gear, probably 1st, which it where it should be with the engine off, along with the parking brake engaged.

Always make sure the parking brake is set and push in the clutch pedal when starting a car with a manual.

I stand corrected they is rust on one part of the car no where else it runs from the front to the back of the car fat and silver bigger then the pipes it has holes going through it i never even saw it when i was there what part is it?

Cold start assist is some special crap mazda cooked up. IIRC it puts coolant into the gas mix to increase compression when the car is cold. Personally I don't believe it works. Totally different from the OPM (oil metering pump) but just as useless.

Also, where are you at in MN? If you wanted someone to stop by and check out the car there are a couple of guys in and around the twin cities that might take a look at it and check for some basic issues or give a few tips on keeping a rotary.

I live in the twin cities area in Eagan. And lindahlish was going to look at my 83 rx7 but he stopped responding to me mebe i pissed him off who knows but i welcome anybody near buy to come look at it.

Congrats Cody. I was gonna wait til u had possession of it. Don't be dumb like most of us have and blow an engine by not keeping oil in it. Yes we were young once. Lol. And most if they will admit has made the youngun mistake. At least mine was a vw bug. My daddy whipped my a ss. Lol. KEEP AN EYE ON THE OIL PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! Or we gonna whip urs. Lol

i know what i am doing i am planning to replace the engine with a v8, change it to a automatic and paint it pink lol.
