Thumbs up I Passed!!! ;)

Welp... as the subject says... I passed... (emissions if you havn't been keeping up lol)

I bolted on the Bonez high flow, (you know how hard it is to get 16yo bolts off? geez) let it idle for about 25 min then drove her hard for a while and rode right into emissions. I blew a 0.66 on HC (was 4.60), a 9.54 on CO (was a 78.54!!!!!) and a 0.81 in NOX (was a 0.3).

All I can say is the Bonez high flow was worth is (for anyone having probs passing emissions).

I was driving her around and she felt strong but after I went to blockbuster and started driving her home she didn't pull like she usually does and in the drive way she was stuttering a little... like she was fighting to find a good idle spot. It was going between 400-1000 and like I mentioned she dosn't have the pull she usually does. Any ideas what this could be? or what I should look for.

Check the vac lines to the shutter valve for the bouncing idle problem.

Thanks... I'll have to do that... would that cause it to also try and idle around 200-500? It's almost like it wants to die... and like I said it dosn't have the response (even if I'm above 3k) that it useto and the top end seems weak.

I was thinking... dosn't the last 2 ports need back pressure to open? Is this the stuff that would be happening if they wern't opening? I was also thinking maby a coil went out... I mean what kind of things would cause this? I REALLY want to take her to the car show on saturday w/ all the reXes (only the 3rd sat of each month) but if she's really bad I don't want to drive that far.

Try the WD-40 thing around all vac lines to see if you have any leaks. If there is a leak present your motor will rev up 'cause the leak is sucking in the WD-40. I don't know too much about -SE's, but it works on my GSL.

I forgot to mention .... after I noticed that she was acting up I pulled her in the garage and looked under the car and the new cat was BRIGHT ORANGE!... I mean it was glowing! I just want to make sure this is ok or if this means maby not enough fresh air is getting in there (or somthing else).

TIA Chris...

I don't have cats on my car, but I'm gonna guess that the cat shouldn't be glowing. The -SE guys should help you with this one.

Yes it does... and it's hooked up.
Is it possible that my ACV is out or maby even my air pump and that is failing to cause backpressure to open the last 2 ports? What does it feel like when the last 2 ports don't open?

How much air should be comming out of the pipe going to the cat? I was messing w/ this before I installed the cat and there was air comming out (durring warm up) but hardly any at all. But I don't know if thats normal or if a bunch should be comming out, or if none durring warmup comes out. *shrug*
