sometimes. sometimes you can get discounts and such. i would call around to some dealerships around the country and ask. it depends on what you want i guess. in terms of engine type. i was quoted a factory reman for 3500.00 for my 88 turboII

At my shop its something like 2K or so for a rebuilt 86 N/A 13B, dont know about a 12a though. I'd expect it to be less.

Call your local dealership!

Mazda in the whitepages, find a dealership, call the parts department, and they'll either tell you, or forward you to someone who can.

But for the claim you're gonna need it on paper. Find the closest Mazda dealership, go to the parts counter, get them to print a quote for a reman engine (they'll print quotes for parts free, their computer prints like an invoice with a big honkin' "this is just a quote" line at the bottom), and use that quote to aid in your claim.

Just for information, I called up a Mazda dealership about their new RX-8 engine... I *think* that the price was something around 3500-4000 for the engine and some associated hardware.

That was when I was thinking of trying to get Mazda to give me a brand shiny new 3-rotor Revolution Engine...

Whee, first post!
