So my driverside window is easy to roll dow, but a fight to roll up. Its not power, I have to crank it. Why is it like this?

Mine does the same, my dad and i think the track the window is in, inside the door, is loose or something because the window will jump out of the track. I found that you can buy a new one on mazdatrix. I used the Hayne's manual to halfway fix it, now i just dont roll it down all the way and it sorta works that way.

no no no even better and it is free. yes free. i have had the same problem as well and to evaluate the problem i drove around fora few weeks with no door panel on. the problem is the gear has play in it allowing the window to slide out of the track so all you have to do is drill o hole in the door. 1/4 over from bolt for the track it works perfect i swear. this keeps the track tight against the window not to tight, trust me on this it works like a glove also if you notice where the handle meets the door there is a rubber grommet yours is pbly all craped out that is another reason the window is coming off the track.
