you'll need a slave cylinder, a master cylinder, throwout bearing, pilot bearing, extensions for the crossmember (you'll have to make them because the trans mounts about 4in rear of where a manual trans would), clutch hard line, manual trans wiring for the reverse lights, and patience.
I know on the 2nd gen models, the body mounts for the 2 trannys are in different spots. To do an auto to manual swap in an FC, one needs to drill out the spot welds and move the mounts for the cross member. I'm not sure if this would work, or is needed, in the 1st gen swap.
From what I've read in posts of others that have done this swap, that may not be a bad idea. I've also read that some Aussie chassis' had both sets of mounts installed from the factory.

hmmmm ok ta. I am in australia so yay for the predrilled holes for the crossmember. As for patience...well its fine except for the fact that i really need to change either the transmission or the muffler; cos its just a big barrell that sounds like a chainsaw when i floor it.
Erm also do i have to changer the startermotor? Or was that in the list im not sure

The shifter position on an SA (series 1) is further forward than it is on the later versions... you may have trouble fitting the shift up thru the floorbard and console.
FB trannys had the shifter moved rearward a couple of inches, IIRC.
EDIT: Checked the parts fiche... yes, the SA transmissions had the shifter mount several inches forward of the tail of the transmission. The FB's starting with 1981 "remoted" the shift lever rearward, so that the rear of the shifter box lines up with the tail of the transmission.
Hopefully, you don't have to deal with any emissions silliness, because the emissions and carburetor builds were different on first-gens between manual and automatic trans versions, too.

hmmmm the fella who sold me the s2 cogbox said the shifter would be 30mm rearward. The interior of mine is stripped so if need be il cut a longer hole through the floor for the shifter.
Man i live in the sticks...no-one tests for emmissions lol. Not even when getn a rwc
