i was painting alot of the engine parts so i took everithing out. i tought it was for the front cover but it already has one in it. does the the rear iron have anything like this. i cant remember its been a really long time since i took them apart. i wass also mesing with the omp could it be from there

The small round aluminum part on the top of the pic looks like it goes in the OMP, been a while since I rebuilt one, but I'm pretty sure that's where it's from.

The part on bottom, I would agree with the others, looks like the pressure regulator out of the front cover. The regulator in the rear iron doesn't look like that.. Not sure where else it could be from

that makes sense i wass working with the omp. could it be posible that i put the oil presure regulator from the rear iron on the front cover. because i know for sure that the front cover has a regulator on it.

When I rebuilt my 84 12a, I rebuilt the OMP at the same time as it was leaking.
Someone posted this exploded view of the 12a OMP that matched my 84.
