I have read various posts and my problem with blinkers is most likely the cpu/flasher combo unit. I a incapable of taking it apart and re-soldering/repairing, so I just want to replace it. Looks difficult but not impossible to remove. Where can I find one? Unless I'm using the wrong search terms, I cannot find any on ebay at the moment or any of the other sources. Does anyone have a part number or a source they don't mind sharing?

Part number on my 85 microfiche says the flasher PN is FA02-67-577 "relay, flasher".
Put in an ask in the Parts for Sale section here on the forum. You might want to include a photo of yours so sellers recognize the part....

Ah. I was confused by your term "cpu/flasher combo". So you are saying...you need the main cpu box for the car (mine has this, not sure about 85's) OR the flasher OR there actually IS a cpu/flasher "combo"?
I would download the 85 Parts Book .pdf and look directly. Several places here have these available, Stg Fox, one of the Mods being one...

If it is a black box, about 1" thick by 3"x 5" then I have one the I am getting rid of. It is the flasher unit and is kind of like a cpu, I guess. It is not the big silver (I think) box in the passenger footwell.
