i love my car, i just hate working on it(PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!!)

i drove to school, 45 minutes away, then to jack in the box for lunch, about 5 min away, then as i got in my car to go home, my day went to ****.....

normally my car starts on the 1st attempt, but it didnt so i pumped the gas 1 or 2 times and tried again, vrooom!!! perfect......

as my car came down to idle i noticed it was very rough, and so i pulled the choke and it just was rough at a higher rpm......

i left (my car running like ****) the parkinlot and i could barely get going, so i stopped to see if maybe a plug wire was off, something had been put in my muffler, something was blocking the intake or the filter AND........

NOTHING????????

i limped home (for an hour) and on the way i discovered if i down shifted into 4th and accelerated i was ok, then i could shift into 5 and accelerate and i was ok , but, as soon as i leveled off or slowed down i began to bog again. i would lose about 5-6 mph going up an overpass with full throttle then, gain it back on the trip down....

but, i did discover that if i left the car in 5th and simply pumped the throttle about 3 times and then accelerate, it would act right, but again if i would level off or slow any it would bog down until i puped the throttle a few times.

im at a loss, i have no idea whats wrong please help!!!!

sorry so long

Your last post confuses me??? But it sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Put your finger on the bong looking thing that is making the whistle, if your idle comes back to normal then that is where your vac leak is, or you could try reconnecting it.

I just thought i would type bong looking thing again, it makes me laugh.

little bong thingie = shutter valve

if it's bad, it'll make a honking noise. you can cap the ports on it. or you can just find a normal size bong thingie, have a smoke and forget about the car for a while.

Yes the world of vacuum leaks is a very ugly place. I will FINALLY be fixing mine next weak, I have to pull the lower intake. If it has power but running rough and not wanting to idle then go looking for that bastard vacuum leak.

Good luck
