Exclamation I know you guys said alot of smoke but !!!!!

You guessed it... I just fired up the SE after the ATF treatment (w/ MMO) and I decided to put a fan at my exaust to spread it out! BAD IDEA!

Yes I live in a neighborhood but I'm on the back corner and theres just a mountain across the street from me... so I decided to blow it that way... AHHHHHHHHHH dark night.... THICK THICK THICK cloud of white smoke. no wind... it just sits down on the ground... it looks like my block has a HUGH fog machine going. I had to turn the engine off... I need to figure out what to do now. Will it hurt my car if I leave it right now for a bit till it gets later and I can drive it off to never never land or somthing? I'm sure the fire department will show up if I fire it up again... BAH.... what do I do now?

I just want to make sure its not gonna hurt anything if I leave it sit for an hour or two then I'll drive it out twards the desert area .... *thinking* someone might think there is a fire out there if I do that... DARN... what can I do?

PS... I had it running for about 2 or 2 1/2 min... so prob still LOTS more smoke to come...

I'm currently figuring out if you can filter the exhaust through a bucket of water.. kinda like a bong. I'll get back to you on that one.

BTW. The atf sitting shouldnt huts it. It didn't hurt it sitting the first 24 hours, so another little while shouldn't be different.

Thanks... so far I just turn it on for a bit till it gets really thick and then turn it off again and let it clear

I figure after doing this for a while and it start to clear up I'll take it out and try and burn the rest out....

Let this be a warning to all of you out there that think you can just fan it away.... you can't ... it's thick but hey... I'll work through it somehow lol..

Try this for me cause my car doesn't run.

Put a hose of some sort on the tail pipes and submerge the other end in a bucket of water. Make sure theres a good connection from the hose to the tail pipe. Start the engine. The smoke should bubble out of the water, but some should stay in the water.

Like I said, kinda like a bong. The result should be thinner smoke and greyish water.

I dunno if the exhaust if powerful enough to force it's way out of a bucket of water though.

On second thought.. It's just a silly idea.. Don't **** up your car.

Heh... when first trying to get my '87 to start, over the course of a month we emptied a CAN of Marvel Mystery Oil into the engine. Into the intake and plug holes. There was MMO dripping out of cracks in the exhaust.

We started the engine with the car nose-first in the garage.

I was directly behind, in one of my cars, and we had jumper cables hooked up from it to the '87. The garage filled with white smoke. The yard filled with smoke. MY car filled with smoke even after I rolled all of the windows up. Couldn't see my hand 5 inches in front of my face.

Did I forget to mention that my roommate was still in the garage, in the '87? It managed to run for 15 seconds before it died from lack of oxygen, and he ran out. Pushed car outside, fired it back up, continued to smoke for a good 5-10 more minutes.

My neighbors didn't talk to me for QUITE some time.

LOL.... I felt so bad... as I looked down my street and saw nothing but smoke. My friend was like... who cares... what else are you going to do.

Well so you all know... after quite a few mini sessions I decided to take her out on a 45mph road. As I sat at the stop sign to turn I was surrounded by smoke lol... but after a little driving she stoped and I took her back home. I gave her new NGK's, wires, dizzy cap and rotor, and air filter.

Shes running strong and pulling strong! a LITTLE shakey at idle but I can't remember if thats how they are or not (been spoiled w/ a new truck) Tommorow I'm driving her to work to eat up some of the "Guarentee emissions" stuff and after work I'm doing an oil change w/ 1 gallon of cast gtx 20w50 and 1qt of MMO. And also changing oil and fuel filter. Then saturday morning I get to wake up eairly and drive her around town for a good 30 min or so and then drive her into the emmissions testing center. Wish me luck!

One quick question for you guys... where does your stock Oil preasure gauge sit when Idling and running? Mine sits below 60 idle and when running right around 60 (maby a little above sometimes).
