I got it !!! YEAH !!! GSL-SE

Today i went to the junkyard because i was bored. looking for anything GSL-SE. not to many show up every so often they get one. and today was the day. and nobody had touched it yet. pulled the injectors, fuel presure regulator, pulsation dampner, and didn't cost one cent.. installed all 3 in my -SE and the thing fired up first time,,,,again. no power loss @ hi-rpm's either, the way is was before. fixed. i have no idea whitch part failed, one of the 3 parts replaced. i'm just lucky that -SE was there,un-raped, and i go scrounging around today. it did cost me one dollor to get in the junkyard.
it's about time i got this ******* car running again, and running good,,,again. many thanks. longduck and all.
YEAH !!!

i have no idea about the engine, running wise. the entire interior was gone and it didn't look as if it sat for years. and the engine was un-touched w/ transmission,
rearend,-SE wheels.i had a real hard time un-bolting 1 bolt that holds the fuelrail to the engine. like it had never been apart before. the yard is in san diego.

You will probably find the wheels near the first row of cars behind the trailer where you pay if any one wants them. I pulled them and dragged them up the hill (breaking my back) in one of those red heavy *** wheelbarrel things. They wanted 35 bucks a wheel though, call me cheep but I didn't need them that bad. I believe the odometer said 160k or something like that. You would think the motor would be good as they last long but maybe not because the car wasn't crashed, it was whole so I don't know why it's there. Has a nice pearlesent paint job too. BTW, if anyone is going to this yard you gotta find the dirt trail that takes you to the lower level to get to the Mazda's. Youre gonna have one helluva time wheelin that motor up the hill. Bring 3 friends with some muscles

Almost certainly the injectors. When they get old, they can get corroded and cause differential between each other, resulting in a poor idle quality an very poor throttle response.

Since having mine cleaned, flow-balanced, and leak-tested, my mileage has gone up to 19.5 mixed driving from 16-17 variable. Nice improvement in performance, as well.

Good job on the find,

hmmmm.. a pearl paintjob, including mirrors.... perhaps a stripped out brown interior, brown leather seats? tinted windows?
If its the car which I believe it to be then it belonged to someone I know... has a set of my stock wheels
If so, it was overheated and wont start, thats why its at Ecology.

Local shop that my brother uses for Infiniti Q45 injector cleaning - those go out quite often with the fuel mixtures that they use here in the summertime.

Check in your local phonebook and look for speedshops and call around - it's about $10-$15 per injector, but well worth the effort. They can also adjust spray patterns, and identify injectors that can't be cleaned and fixed - this can save a lot of time trying to troubleshoot an issue and it turns out to be a bad injector.

Injectors for our cars are now 20 years old, recall. HTH,

That was it Mel, clean wheels too, must have been your wheels. lol. The only advice i could give anyone playing with- SE injectors/fuelrail,,,,,remove the entire fuelrail/delivery pipe and use a round wire brush in a drill and 'hone' out the area that sits on top of the injectors and make both smooth and clean, crap builds up there and could cause leaks around o-rings. and before installing anything o-ring, i used 3in1 oil and 'coated' each o-ring first, even brand new o-rings coat them first. Longduck my idle was fine, just hi-rpm power loss, or missing. now i need to re-set the hi-idle and the TPS, just to make sure it's all correct.
