Exclamation I got Oil Pressure

If any oil pressure doubt, there ain't none now.
I performed my 10w-30 to 20w-50 summer oil change this past weekend. I always put my 85 on ramps before punching a hole in the top of the oil filter to assist draining. But a brain fart lead me to punch the hole before I put the car on the ramps. Well I thought I could start the car and drive it uo on the ramps, maybe 5 seconds worth of engine start, with no problems. Boy was I wrong. Instantaneously, upon starting the engine a column of oil about 8 feet high came out the hole in top of the oil filter, looked like a Texas oil rig gusher. Any concern I had about oil pressure was answered. I got oil pressure. So if anyone has a concern about low oil pressure, that is one way to check it. But I do not recommend it.

I was wondering what would happen if I did that...Thanks for the info, and I actually may try it just for fun .

Sorry, no pics, but picture this. Engine bay, fenders, winshield, roof covered with oil. Gave it a bath, all clean now.

Have a happy fourth.
