I've got that same Welder (3200HD) Must say, its been great... I've welded some pretty thick stuff with it. However, I just recently purchased the Aluminum welding Kit for the machine and so far atleast havent had much sucess...

on motors that run as hot as these id feel safer running an intercooler to lessen the chance of detonation

We're talking about this in the AUX Forum here, https://www.rx7club.com/auxiliary-injection-173/running-non-intercooled-option-685701/

Some people are already running meth injection/pump gas without an intercooler.

Still trying to make up my mind.

Looks like you got one insanely great car. If you decide to go with a REW setup, I want that engine and all the parts that came on it in the car, lol.

Sorry I missed this thread earlier. Looks like a fun project. I bought a Lincoln Pro-Mig 135 froms Lowes a couple of years ago. It will do flux core, shielded and aluminum with an extra kit. I've welded anything from body panels to my cage with it. Cage needed multiple passes. I really need to pickup a tank, flux core welding sucks.

I picked up the Lincoln HD3200 from Home Depot this morning. Night and day difference between the Lincoln and that POS century I was using last weekend. The gas is nice too !

Got the turbo mounted and it just barely clears the hood, I'll post pictures a little later

Awesome !

I think I'd like to go with some front wheels like this one, I think they would look nice with my rear black holeshots.

Well, I got the turbo mounted yesterday. Sorry it took so long to post, I caught a cold and my today is my Birthday so I had the family over all day.

The hood clears and it seems like it's going to clear everything else as well.

Anyone know if the angle of the T6 flange makes a difference ? Does it need to be at a angle or can it be flat ?

It's going to be a streetcar. More of a "Prostreet" type of streetcar that you would see at Hot Rod cars shows. Something that I can enjoy and be comfortable in. My last 3rd gen, I was always worried about something, it was loud, uncomfortable and inpractical.

Parts for sale

This came off my 1st Gen, I'm selling it all because I'm going with a Custom Intake so I don't need this anymore.

S5 TII Lower and Upper that's been nicely polished and modded. Block Off Plates and even something has been welded up (I'm not sure since I'm not too familiar with TII Engines). It also has a nice aluminum elbow. Comes with all nipples/bolts/nuts in place so you shouldn't need to go hunting for parts.

(2) 1680cc secondary injectors and (2) 720cc primary injectors.

Polished modded secondary and primary fuel rails with Earls Fittings.

$400 plus shipping.

I can usually ship next day as long as it's not last minute.

This also comes with the Earls braided line and fittings to make it easier on you.

Gonna have to get creative this weekend. Since I've got the new intake bolted on, it's a little too close to the turbo. Also, I'll need to position it so that I can make a nice transition from the Hat to the Compressor outlet.

Can you rotate the hat or is it fixed so that the inlet can only face forward? If you can rotate it, then try rotating the inlet towards the drivers side headlight. Maybe you will be able to fabricate a duct that can come straight out the turbo and bend tight towards the inlet. Know what I mean?

turbo should go forward and closer to the fender well notch kinda behind the headlight and in front of the strut tower if at all possible.
When you look at the other people with that throttle body, they set up their turbo so that the compressor outlet faces pretty much straight up as in rotating 90* counterclockwise from what you have.

Yeah, I'll play around with the locations this weekend and get everything set so I can make my jig for the manifold.
