You should try it.
I have a Holley adapter that fits a 12A manifold. It keeps the runners seperate though. This is good incase I machine some holes for it to fit a 13B carb stud pattern and all the runners will be seperate. Or I could take peejay's advice and cut a channel between both primary runners right under the carb. I dunno.

there have been two recent threads addressing the issue of porting a stock manifold ... the consensus is "no" ...
upgrade your fuel system (pump + regulator ~ actually, a dual inlet pipe would be a good idea as well) and try to tune the carb. i guess a 600 should enough for your streetport ... but only time and tuning will tell.

well iv gatherd that matching it down at the bottom of the manifold is bad....
so do i just rebuild the carb, upgrade my fuel pump, add new gaskets, hook up my remaining vac line (from dist.) and cap all the others,
no porting up top?
just bolt on and add fuel ?!?! haha
sorry if i sound stupid i just dont wanna FU*CK UP
this is my first time dooin any of this... im good mechanically but i just like to know what to do to get the best out off this....
i want a nikki but this was free sooo... im gonna do it
