I found this wrapped around my AC pully

Yeah, this belongs on my alternator/water pump/Eshaft.

Totally wrapped around my AC pully. Driving down the road, then I hear a SNAP sound, and all the red idiot lights on my dash lit up. Got home (was about a mile away) and opened the hood to find this bugger out of its place. Low coolant, low oil, exhaust overheat, everything lit up. Due to the darkness, I really cant make anything out, ie if i am missing a wire harness. the loud Snap/Crack I heard when driving was probably the belt wacking my distributer. The cap was almost completely off, the latch holding it that is closest to the fan was flipped down. I am surprised I still got spark.

Now, if I replace this belt, will my idiot lights go away? Or am I really missing some part of my harness?

I dont know if it was yoohoo belt or not, but its the same belt you get 2 of when running dual alternator pully. Yoohoo belt is actually what kept me from overheating

Well.........I suppose you will finally get the dual alt pulley. I hear people talk about running just one belt all the time with no problems, but I don't think they drive as spirited as we do .

From: here, where ever that is.
idiot lights will go away once the belt is replaced. They came on cause the alt wasn't putting out juice. check to make sure you didn't break any of your omp lines.

+1 for the yoohoo belt preventing an overheated engine.

^^Word.

I got the belt put on, had to take the fan and AC belt off. All idiot lights are gone, but my tach is horribly inaccurate. Went to look at the coils, and i hear a bzzzt sound. So, I proceed to test which coil is making the zaping sound. With my finger.

Well, long story short, I found that the negative side of the leading coil shocks me. I take off the negative plug and reinsert it in, and same for the Plug wires. Still no effect.

Does anyone have any hints about my tach problem? I know tach is trailing related, but no sparking is coming from the trailing. Everything works fine, T and L. Just the Leading makes the bzzzt noises.

The tach works off the trailing ignition and the trailing ignitor is on the dizzy.

It looks like Jeff20B's avatar.

Check the wiring connection coming off it.

I agree with DOM;
You mentioned in your post that the Distributor was hit by the belt.
You may have damaged the Wiring or Ignitor on the Trailing Side and that would give you sporatic firing ie Tach and Spark.
There are many writeups on how to test your Ignitors if you don't know how to do it.
I would replace the Disti Cap anyhow since if there is a Hairline Crack anywhere it would cause the Shock and Arching your experiencing from the Coils.
I bought a Bad Disti Cap from Nappa once $30.00 high end and it took me hrs chasing down electrical gremlins to find out that it was bad.
I had some of the same issues that you are having and as soon as I replaced it everthing worked out OK.
Hopefully it's an easy fix for ya.
