I can't get no satis-SPARK-tion!
Hey guys,
I've searched all of the dlidfis threads and haven't found a solution to my problem of no spark.
I have a dlidfis setup with FC coils and can't seem to get a spark out of the plugs. I'm running 2 leading ignitiors off of the leading mag pickup with the igniter boxes mounted on a "thoroughly" grounded aluminum heatsink. I have triple checked my wiring and all wires have continuity.
Also, I've tested both igniters on a friends car and they both function perfectly.
Does anyone know how to check the magnetic pickup? If the igniters and coils are both good insn' it possible that they are not receiving a signal from the mag pickup? Or maybe there is a problem using FC coils with a first gen ignition setup?
Thanks for the help,
Evan

Not really a good way to test your reluctors definitively without a 'scope. Can you take a few pics of your setup and wiring so we can get a better idea what you've got going on?

Thanks for the quick response!
I slipped a feeler guage in between the pickup and reluctor wheel and noticed it was a bit wide of factory spec. I will adjust that tomorrow and see if it remedies the situation.

pickup clearence adjusted back into spec and some corrosion was removed from the magnet face. She runs like a dream!
Thanks for the responses!
I never said I was using a single coil. I have one for each leading plug.
