I was Attacked!!

Seriously. It was quite funny though. I've been contemplating a Momo Shift **** for my interior to match the Steering wheel, etc.

I originally posted in the Interior Forum:

And It was a ghost town

I posted in the 3rd Gen Forum:

and I was I was pleasantly informed in a polite manner. One of the guys even went out to his car, and took some instant digital pics just for me. Nice Guy.

HOWEVER,I posted on the 2nd Gen Forum:

And I got freaking Attacked!!<-(Click the Links, see for yourself)

It ended peacefully, but it made me appreciate how well we get along on the first gen Forum.

"I Love you Guys!"

It was just dre, and he apoligised. Lots of posts in the 2nd gen forums turn into flame wars that make our V8 vs. rotary posts seem tame by comparison, but most of the 2nd gen guys were helpful to ya mebbe they recognise the effort you're putting into your car.

Personally I think that **** is a good match for your wheel, and your carbon fibre center dash turned out better'n I thought. I thought of making a real carbon fibre one to replace my bodycolored one, but then realized I'd be copying you

Hey S2-13B, did you have to modify that dash to fit that stereo in there, or is it just a different size over there? It just occured to me that I could do like my friend has in his Subaru...Top: Flip down face tape deck with all tuner controls/all the bells and whistles...Bottom: CD player with digital graphic equalizer controls and spectrum graphs

Gamble - Thanks, you can find some pics here . Note, that the pics are fairly old. The car now sits lower and is cleaner . The inside has some work done to the center console, along the lines of two new gauges, and a general tidy. It's still cracked badly though. I'll get some new pics one day.

RotorMotorDriver - As for the stereo. I had to enlarge the hole where the stereo is because it was originally just a small storage area. After that it fit straight in. The only problem with it this low is that when cruising in 5th it can be annoying to swap CDs. The hole in the top now houses two gauges mounted in an aluminium trim peice that is still undergoing some finishing touches.

DirectFreak - Sorry to hijack your thread... Back to you sir.

Directfreak, on behalf of the fc owners I would like to apoligize their can be some troublesome people on that section sometimes but like on all sections their are some very helpful people on there, I have learned a lot from the gurus on that section. If I ever get a 1st gen I'm sure I'll be over here more often asking the gurus for help and learning more about the first gen.

Oh yeah and your car kicks ***.

That's funny, Just yesterday I sent out a check to you via regular snail mail for the Tri-gauge holder. Just in case I don't like it in the long run.

I am gonna post some newer pics this weekend, I am putting all the finishing touches.

Now if Dave finished those silver and black gauges.. I'd be hoooked up!!

dolemite85 - Thanks!

See you went about it all wrong.. You had to say I put this shifter on and now I shoot 10 foot flames. They would have loved you then...

Most the 2nd gen forum is little kids Alex OK...
Theres quite a few people in there younger that are pretty keen on stuff, and theres some old folks that are keen too, but theres a LOT of little punks in there

NEXT TIME, say flames this and flames that they will love you...

well, i'm not going to limit it to just dre2000. i used to post on the Gen II forum pretty regularly, but i got sick of all the crap. there are some pretty cool guys in there, but i notcied a lot of them (and i'm not going to single anyone out) are childish and just downright rude!

usually, it's better to just leave their childish BS alone and not even respond ... but in that same breath, sometimes you just have to shut them up! (BTW, Directfreak, i loved that "if you want speed, jump off a building- thing ... )

anyway, yeah, it makes one appreciate what we have in this forum so much more.

i think those guys are just jealous! they are very unidimensional ... it's like there is only one way to do something ... THIER'S!!!!

don't sweat 'em DF ... you've got enough playahatin' bitches (like me ) in this forum, who appreciate your car and your individualism (and taste ) and love you nonetheless!

oh yeah ... and about the **** ... from the pic, it looks a bit small, but try going to one of the more reputable speed shops and see if someone stocks it, so you can actually put it in your hand. the fitment won't be a problem ... that much i can vouch for. and i think you made an excellent choice as far as your aluminum/CF theme (BTW, that's the theme i prefer as well). but just do what makes YOU happy and screw everyone else!

peace!

FC's have the least style anyway, inside and out. What do they know about what looks good. DF, your car looks awesome, i wish mine was in that good of shape.

Ya know, I have to say that although there's a broad age spectrum in this forum it seems the most to be a community. Had RMD posted his woes in the FC forum the kids there probably would have salted his wounds. There are some great guys in that forum too, but sadly the loudest, yipping little dogs drown out quietly intelligent ones

When you have a 300+ hp first gen, putting a short shift and new **** in your car is the extreme LEAST you can do. I want my interior (more or less) to look like yours, except for maybe the pedals, but they look cool nonetheless. Could he have been more of an ***?

It's like, wow, those guages dont make you go any faster! Yeah, but it keeps the engine from blowing up...Guaranteed buddy would be drooling over your car in real life anyway, so i wouldnt worry too much aboot it!
