Hunting the High Idle.
Hey guys,
Like many, over time my GSL-SE fell prey to idle issues. I sorted them out initially through cleaning the TB, and my idle was fine.
However, after I had a new tranny in, it's always idled high 900-1100 but steady. I have cleaned BAC valve,tb, done tps adjustment, tried air adjust screw and have checked for leaks on all the hoses (just using a bit of carb cleaner).
There are a few hoses that aren't connected...I attached one in the pic. ALso there's a large hose coming off the intake manifold that goes nowhere...looks like a drain hose, but not sure it just kinda dangles there..:
Anyways...I'm a bit stumped..it feels like a vacuum leak or maybe a hose not connected but I can't track it down.

Well, normally, that broken connector at the end of that vacuum hose going to the cruise control would have two other vacuum hoses attached to it to make it a "T" connection. I'm guessing on your car though that the two vacuum hoses were tied together without the cruise control.

See the picture I attached. the hose going to the left goes to the cruise, the one to the right goes to a solenoid that sits just behind the washer fluid resorvoir, and the one that goes up goes to another "T" connector which connects to more vacuum hoses.

Ok unfortunately... I think I may have discovered perhaps a part of the issue.
The flange off of my 2nd cat wasn't connected so my 5th and 6th ports aren't opening. I have since replaced the exhaust (recently), and don't have an extra opening to connect this back to the actuators.
I've been reading that you can hook up a tube splitting of your air pump and keep 5th and 6th open, but haven't been able to find out any details.
Thanks,
