How well does an GSL-SE respond to tuning?
I've got a Greddy EManage that I'm not using and I was wondering if it could be used to tune the fueling in my GSL-SE. It works similar to an SAFC where it intercepts the air meter signal and adjusts the voltage being sent to the ECU, which in turn changes the amount of fuel injected to the engine. What's different about the Emanage and SAFC is that the Emanage can control ignition timing, and the SAFC cannot. With the supposed mechanical distributor on the GSL-SE, I don't think it's possible to alter the timing anyway.
I haven't had a chance to plug my wideband into the exhaust to see what the mixture is like, but from the smell of it at idle, it seems like it could use some adjustment.
Has anyone ever attempted this with a GSL-SE? What were your results? Is it worthwhile?
Thanks!
