how to remove d.s. side mirror glass?

i finaly found a driver side mirror in the junk yard and was wondering if theres a way just to "pop" out the glass instead of taking out the whole thing, id just like to replace the mirror since my car has been painted rather recently.

Two screws underneath the mirror, then i believe that there is a screw or two that hold the glass in as well... We are talking about power mirrors right?

idk if you can just get the glass. Best bet is to get the pod and attach it to your mirror stand.

its actually really easy and all done from the outside. If you look underneath the mirror there should be 2/3 screws holding it. Once unscrewed the whole assembly that you need detaches. Just watch out not to strip those as they can be super easy to do so. If that does happen though and you only need the inside mirror you can crack it where its being held at the screw, the mirror assembly is held in by 2 screws once you flip that part over.

Make sure the yard that you pull it out of will actually allow you to pay just for hte mirror and not the whole assembly. My and my buddy went to one yard and took out the mirror and told us they don't sell them like that and had to pay the price for the the whole assembly.

just one screw holds the mirror in.
i second being very very careful taking the first 2 screws out, they almost always strip.. you need a stubby #2 because you cant get the angle right with a normal length screwdriver.

Maybe some PB blaster to help keep from stripping.
