When of my friends was telling me about this boy who doesn't know jack **** about 7's & has a '85 with a 130k on the motor & is selling his car. The car is primered out w/ a mariah bodykit. I'm not sure if its an Se model but I do know that they came out only in '85 & were fuel injected. The only problem with the car is that its not starting up. Supposedly it cranks, but does not start. I'm hoping that its just carbonlock, so later on today I'm gonna go over there & spray some MMO, ATF, or superfoam in it, let it sit, then come back tommorow & try to start it. If it starts then I'll trade him the set of Acura ot Honda rims that he wants for the car. Now back to the topic, Since I'm not gonna keep the car, how much can i resell the car for??

 

LOW-BALL him. Start with $200 and say, thats even higher than selling it to a junkyard. You have the advantage. you know things about 7 more than the owner.

 

I already am gonna low-ball him. Im gonna trade him a set of Honda or Acura rims for his 7. I just wanna know for much can i resell the car for because owning another 7(I already own 2 second gens) would just be a burden.

 

We need to see pics and know the model to really say the value.

13/16 or 15/16... Whatever the big one is. There's two sizes of spark plug sickets and it's NOT the 5/8ths.

 

Well I went to go see the car during lunchtime & its a carburated Gs model . It has a spraycan primer paint which means that the kid was atleast thinking about painting the car. The body has no waves in it so that means whoever did his bodyjob actually did a good job.

It has this bodykit.....

I went & tried to crank the car & I instantly knew it was carbonlock. I didn't bother trying to spray ATF or MMO in it because after finding out it was a Gs model I kind of lost interest in getting it but I still offered him a set of Honda Civic Si rims & he said he'll call me tonite or tommorow with his decision. So the question is, How much would you pay or sell a '85 Gs??

no. really. I gave 1000 for my car, and it starts, and has some dents and dings, it runs and i drive it daily, but it also has 200,000 miles on it, and no Mariah Body kit.

If you get the car, and decide you want to part it, let me know what you would want for that body kit, and rear wiper motor. and a whole list of other crap.

I'd almost buy it as a parts car, what does the interior look like? If the interior is in good shape, it's almost worth it, i need a new seat and some other stuff, and a new door (big dent).

 

I'd give you what you paid for it to take the whole car, or a little more than him^^^ =P
